Okay, I take back every bad thing I’ve ever said about Justin. I used to always tell people, “He’s a good kid, but, I dislike his music, it’s horrible.” That was always my response if I was asked if I like him. Well I never really gave his music a chance, I never listened. I had only heard a few songs such as ‘Baby’, ‘One Time’, ‘Love Me’, and ‘One Less Lonely Girl’. I didn’t like them, so over the years I figured that all of his music must be absolutely horrid. But over the years, even though I hated his music, I liked him as a person. I didn’t like him for his looks, I liked him for his easygoing and friendly personality. Still, I continued to say I hated his music and things like that, and when I was asked if I liked his looks I’d probably reply “Naaahhh, not my type at all!” or something like that. Then in 2010, I got myself a Twitter account. First I followed all my favorite people, then on one of the sidebars ‘@justinbieber’ showed up, I figured it wouldn’t hurt anything, so I followed him on twitter. Until about April of 2011, I ignored his tweets about music, etc. as I saw them pointless, since I had decided I didn’t like his music. But I did start paying attention to some of his pictures. The young boy I had just seen, was growing up. His looks had changed alot, I admit, I thought he was a cutie. I started paying more attention to his tweets. I found out, he gives a lot of his income to various charities. I was actually proud of him. So, then I heard he had a movie called ‘Never Say Never’ so I figured, it wouldn’t hurt to go see it. So, I brought my best friend to go see it with me. The movie was actually terrific, I don’t even know what I was expecting. I learned alot about him, that I didn’t know before. That was when I started to accept Justin. About October 2011, I decided that I’d give Justin a chance when his upcoming album came out. So, I waited a while for him to release his single name. Finally, Mistletoe was announced the name of the single in November. Then a little later the song came out. I listened to the song, but it wasn’t exactly what I expected. The young and unsure voice, had grown into a steady strong voice. I was happy for him. Then, I graciously awaited the whole Mistletoe album. When it very first came out, I bought it physically. As soon as I got out to my car I slipped it into the player and listened. I was stunned. That young boy I once knew had grown up. His voice sounded so different. Then tonight, I was listening to his music, and I actually wanted to start singing along and dancing to it. So, I did. My mom was laughing at me, but I kept on dancing because I was having fun. We both started laughing. I realized, for the first time in a long time, I actually had fun at my house. I didn’t have to be with friends, or out with a boyfriend. I just needed his music to have fun. For this, I thank him sincerely with all of my heart. If I could say anything to him it’d be this: “Justin, your music isn’t bad at all. You’re a great kid, keep doing what you do because it’s great. I always told myself I didn’t really like you, but you made a Belieber of me. I thank you with all of my heart and I send love to you and your family this Christmas.” So yeah, I like Justin Bieber.
